mad city ski team

Last night we went down to Lake Monona to watch the Mad City Ski Team - a local group of waterskiers who put on a show for free every Sunday evening in the summer. It's pretty amazing. I like the ducks in the foreground of the top photo - they were completely unpeturbed by all the action going on in their lake.

I suppose the ducks don't see anything unusual since they water ski every time they land, and, what's more, they walk on water when they take off.

Nice shots.

Wow..surprised those ducks were still hanging around with all that action close by. Guess they don't start to scare easy until hunting season.

Great photo.

Glad you enjoyed our show at Law Park. The ducks in question are there all the time and since we're there Sunday thru Thursday, they're just use to us.

Come back in a few weeks and you'll likely see a much bigger show as we prepare for State.

Wedge, do you ever get to Rockford, IL (Rock River)for the waterskiing competitions? I remember as a kid who grew up in Rockford going to see the fabulous skiiers...at the time, there were groups from all over the country. BTW...those ducks are going to be awful hard to match. Good luck!:-)

Coltrane, I'll actually be going down to Rockford this August. The ski team down there is hosting Nationals this year.
