madeleine

Today I am following the example of Lynn in Cheltenham and posting a photo of Madeleine McCann, the three year old British girl who was abducted in Portugal two weeks ago.

Although I shudder at the circumstances surrounding her kidnapping - she and her siblings were left alone sleeping at their holiday villa while their parents dined at a nearby restaurant - surely this is every parent's worst nightmare.

She could be anywhere in the world by now, so I feel a certain responsibility (if that's the right word) as a member of this global City Daily Photo community to post her photo.

Glad you posted this lovely little girl's photo and for her sake I hope she is well and that they find her soon.

on another note since you liked the books the kite runner and time traveller's wife .. have you read anything good lately that is worth sharing? I am reading a pretty boring book and I want a good one!!! Good Day to you.

I read about her incident in our newspaper. It is very sad. I hope they can find her before she gets hurt or anything bad happens. I can't imagine how devastated her parents are. I can pray for them.

This is wonderful, thanks for following on. She has a very distinctive right eye - a kind of blood flash going downwards from the pupil into the iris. Important as she may well have had her appearance changed by now.
