playtime

One of the reasons I started this blog was I wanted to start taking photos of something other than my children...and then I see this amazing statue outside our natural food co-op. It was one of those 'pull the car over to the side of the road' moments - I just love the fluidity (real word?) and movement in this statue and, of course, it makes me think of my children playing.

The light & the angle are a little funky (I was gingerly stepping through the co-op's garden to take the photo) but I hope you can see at least some of the detail. (Try viewing it large.)

Very nice photograph. I like it and your narrative.

I posted about the sexual behaviour of ducks today (with photos).

When I enlarged your photo, I could see the details, which are quite lovely: tied shoe laces, the texture of the children's hair, and the doll held by the little girl. It's delightful!

Very nice statue and yes, it does have fluidity. Much more interesting than just a bust of somebody staring straight ahead.

This is wonderful. You are right, it's better to enlarge the photo. Such energy and what a good time they are having. Fluidity is a good word to describe it.

! I also like hthe look of the neighborhood with its old colorful homes and unkempt yards. I would be interested in seeing more of this area!
