that's entertainment

Boys + heavy machinery = bliss.

When we were standing around watching all this action, my friend Liz & I were wondering if the guys who drive these big diggers & excavators are all still little boys playing with their toys. Or is it just a job?

I bet they are still little boys! My boys loved to watch heavy equipment when they were growing up, and I believe they had every Tonka truck that was ever made. Those were the only toys they really needed!

Little boys will watch and mimic what they see once they get home. Little girls do to. I keep seeing more and more ladies driving 18-wheelers and backing them up like the oldest, pop-bellied, dude around. And they smile a lot nicer too.

I think it is a memorable, Normal Rockwell type, picture.

I think that it may just be difficult, back-braking work. The most fun is watching the action!

Why don't I proofread!! Back-breaking, but the other spelling does fit the photo, doesn't it?

I'm so glad you've broken your 'rule' and posted the boys. They really did enjoy that morning. I've heard from a neighbor that 2 side streets a block from our house are being dug up this year... you can guess where we'll be spending much of the summer.

It is always interesing to watch something being built, dug up, or moved. everyone can relate to this picture! I often want to stop and watch the guys with the jackhammers, but they are just too noisy.
