madison skyline


..one from the archives as it has been a long & busy day...

Here's the Madison skyline as taken from Lake Monona - my first attempt at using the infinity mode on my camera.
In the foreground you can see the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Monona Terrace (which celebrated it's 10 anniversary yesterday with a big party for the city on the rooftop.) Most of the buildings behind that are state government offices & of course, the big dome on the right is the State Capitol building. Lots of lush green trees all around there too.

It's lovely to see - and fun to imagine being there. I'm hoping to come in September (and I'll have to scope out some of the yarn shops I asked about earlier. In the fall it'll feel like the perfect time to stroke the wool and think of winter projects.

Isn't the radio show What Do You Know broadcast from Monona Terrace?

Whaddya Know is broadcast from Monona Terrace, but I have to say, I'm not a big fan of Michael Feldman...
