butterfly

Nice shot - that is a new butterfly to me - I don't remember seeing one with those colors.

Love the pic, but just a short comment...ya gotta switch it around, it's actually Jackman Lake. And what a nice pic of Oulu Rulu!! That's a fun (if not a little rough) field to make hay on.

Tara - I stand corrected, it is indeed Jackman Lake (although for some reason we've always called it the other way around.) Have you been to Oulu Rulu before?

hey-- that's a white admiral. They are one of the butterflies that go through drastic increases (and decreases) in population different years. About 4 years ago there was a HUGE explosion of them in Northern Wisconsin where we go near Rhinelander. Were there gobs of them up there?
